Most Patagonian birds migrate in winter, possibly vacating S part of range. Observations of large flocks in other
parts of the range may suggest seasonal or opportunistic movements, or long daily feeding excursions. Race
bolivianus, which breeds in desert puna, winters on moraine plains in Eastern Cordillera of La Paz,
