Not well known; has been recorded widely as a migrant or winter visitor in Ussuriland, Japan, North and South
Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Sumatra, Philippines and S India. Adults live Sakhalin
breeding grounds late Jul to mid-Aug, juveniles from late Aug to mid-Sept; species migrates through Japan and
