Migrates to winter in low latitude seas, chiefly N of equator, apparently including extensive migration over land.
departs from breeding areas mainly in Sept, with peak migration through temperature North Atlantic in Oct,
rather later than other congeners. Return migration in May, usually in small flocks. Immatures remain in
