Migration: intercontinental immatures remain in temperate regions during winter

Verbreitungskarte von Stercorarius pomarinus Migrates to winter in low latitude seas, chiefly N of equator, apparently including extensive migration over land. departs from breeding areas mainly in Sept, with peak migration through temperature North Atlantic in Oct, rather later than other congeners.
