Following northward post-breeding dispersal, migrates S. Birds breeding on Pacific coast winter from S
California to Costa Rica and Panama. Great Plains birds migrate mainly overland, and winter mostly on Gulf
Coast. Atlantic coast breeders winter from S Virginia to Costa Rica and in Caribbean; occasionally found N to
