Adults sedentary. Pre-moult period at sea 35 days; birds remain at sea for 4 months, after completion of moult
and before start of subsequent breeding season. Juveniles, on becoming independent, disperse far from colony;
birds from E head W, those from W and S move N. Most birds later return to moult and breed at natal colony.
