An austral migrant. Known to be present on breeding grounds during the austral summer, and in the Guianas and Venezuela during the austral winter; however, limits of breeding and non-breeding distributions have not been ascertained, patterns of movement are unclear, and paucity of records in N of range means that firm conclusions can not yet be made. Recorded once in Leeward Is ( Sombrero I).
