Migration: intracontinental many non-breeders remain in wintering areas

Verbreitungskarte von Numenius americanus Relatively short distance migrant, which arrives on breeding grounds early, mid-Mar, and departs by mid-Aug. Mostly moves across interior W half of USA, and also fairly common to uncommon across inland Mexico. Most non-breeders spend all year in wintering range.
