Near Isla Chiloé and in the Strait of Magellan, resident groups have been noted throughout the year, although
more animals were present during summer. In southern Tierra del Fuego, animals also seem to move inshore
during summer, possibly following fish migrations. It is not known if the dolphins in different parts of the range
belong to different populations or stocks. (Goodall RNP, , 2002)
