Lesser elaenia |
Élénie menue |
Fiofío belicoso |
Schlankschnabelelaenie |
Widespread in lowlands and on lower slopes south to n. and e. Bolivia [...], n., Argentina [...], e. Paraguay ( few
records), and s. Brazil [...], but absent or very local in extreme ne. Brazil and the Amazon basin [...], and not
recorded from most of e. Ecuador or w. Amaz. Brazil; west of Andes only in nw. Venezuela, w. Colombia [...],
and nw. Ecuador [...]; Trinidad and Netherlands Antilles ( either as migrant or with small resident population).
Also Costa Rica and Panama. Southernmost breeders apparently migrate northward during austral winter, but as
the subspecies albivertex occurs across all of cis-Andean South America, their wintering range is hard to
delineate. (Ridgely RS, Tudor G, 1994)
