Verbreitungskarte von Dendrocygna autumnalis Partially migratory. Northernmost breeding areas deserted in winter, which birds presumably spend in Central America. Otherwise mainly sedentary, but some local movements certainly occur. Regularly reported from West Indies; has occurred N to California.   (del Hoyo J, Elliott A, Sargatal J (eds), 1992)
