Race lepidus is resident. Nominate saturatus is a summer visitor to its breeding areas, being present for example
in Kashmir from late Apr to Aug and in Nepal in Mar - Sept; it winters in the Malay Peninsula and Philippines
and S through Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Sulawesi, Moluccas, Lesser Sundas and New Guinea, to the coastal parts
