mainly sedentary, intercontinental in Sflorida and Florida keys |
Migratory in S Florida and Florida keys, though a few winter records, mainly in inland hardwood hammocks;
arrives in late Mar and departs in late Sept. Observations seasonal from Jan to Sept in Hispaniola. Permanent
resident in Pacific region of Oaxaca. Hurricanes may be responsible for some episodic movements, and the
different appearance of samples of cuckoos taken in the same place in different years may reflect natural
