Poorly documented. Most populations appear to be mainly sedentary. Race albonotatus sedentary and partially
migratory, e.g. summer breeding visitor to Pakistan, arriving from mid-late Mar and leaving again in Sept, when
probably moves E. In other parts of range, less frequent Oct-Feb and may be subject to some local movements.
Race schlegelii generally sedentary, but may undertake local movements in parts of range. In Australia, possibly
occurs as a vagrant as far S as Queensland/New South Wales border. (del Hoyo J, Elliott A,
