Migration: intercontinental southern populations resident

Verbreitungskarte von Burhinus oedicnemus N European and C Asian populations migrate in autumn to S Europe, Middle East and beyond into Africa. Populations of Iberia, N Africa, India and SE Asia resident; N African breeders sometimes move S beyond Sahara, but normal extent of migration poorly known.
