Verbreitungskarte von Anas acuta Highly migratory, flying S to winter at lower latitudes, to Mexico, Central America and West Indies; S Europe, N, W and E Africa; and Middle east, S Asia and Japan. Recorded regularly beyond equator line, in E Africa; also small numbers on some oceanic islands (e.g. Hawaii) and frequent stragglers outside range. Moult migration frequent.
