Sedentary in MacKenzie Basin with local movements of up to several kilometres, usually in autumn-winter to
river delta of breeding valley, with birds returning to nesting area from late winter to early spring. A few birds
spend autumn and winter at coastal lagoons, and especially estuaries, of North I; most of these are associated
